BIGBOSS SEASON 12

Just days ahead of the premiere of Bigg Boss 12, to be hosted by Salman Khan, there is still speculation about the contestants who will be part of the show. Initially, celebrity couples Milind Soman-Ankita Konwar and Gurmeet Choudhry and Debolina were expected to be a part of the show. Now, a report in Spotboye suggests that they may not be a part of the show.

Salman Khan’s show has a different theme this year. The house will have ‘vichitra’ jodis who would compete to win the title this year. It was because of the theme that Salman launched the show in the presence of comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbhachiya.

In fact, the report suggests that these celebs have already begun shooting for the show’s introduction AVs and are at location in Lonavala

Salman to host alone

Salman Khan to have Katrina KLaif besides him to host this season of BB12, took the internet by storm. But in an interview with us, Salman cleared all the rumours and clarified that he will be hosting the show solo. "Shayad.... Katrina ne he ye rumour phailaya hoga. (Laughs) She asked me one day about the theme of the show and asked me this year do they have Jodi? I said yes. She said, “Then I should do it”. I asked her why, she replied that you do your impromptu thing and I will follow and stick to the script. When I asked her about her remuneration, she said “We will keep it keep it equal only, what’s your price is my price." Photo- Instageam.

Number of contestants

In all, five pairs, five solo commoners and six solo celebs will participate. Salman Khan will pair the single contestants at the Grand launch of Bigg Boss 12. Unlike all seasons, this will be the first season wherein the contestants will be in a large number. The maximum number of contestants to date have been 12. Photo- instagram.

Airing date

Bigg Boss season 12 is all set to hit the TV screens from September 16 and will air its grand finale in January. Photo- Instagram.

Like last season, Bigg Boss 12 was also considered to air in the night slot at 10: 30 PM. But looks like the makers have changed their mind and now the show shall air from 9 pm- 10 pm, every day. Sources confirm that the show will air from Monday-Sunday at 9 PM only. The other shows on the home channel that air from 9-10 shall be re-scheduled to fit in Bigg Boss 12. While Roop Mard Ka Naya Swaroop will shift to the 10 pm slot, Bepannaah will take up the 10:30 pm slot. Silsila Badalte Rishton ka will be pushed to the 11 pm slot.

1. Dipika Kakkar

Dipika Kakkar became popular with her role as Simar in the show Sasural Simar Ka. The actor also got married to her boyfriend Shoaib Ibrahim in February. While earlier reports said she will be there with her husband, now it seems only Dipika is a part of Salman’s show.

2. Shaleen Bhanot

Shaleen Bhanot became popular with his roles in TV shows Saat Phere, Dill Mill Gaye and Suryaputra Karan. His ex-wife accused him of domestic abuse and an ugly divorce ensued.

3. Ssumier (Pummy Aunty)

Ssumier popularly known as online alter ego Pummy Aunty, he was also a part of Sasural Simar Ka and Comedy Nights Bachao 2. He had earlier said he might be a part of Bigger Boss 12.
